I’ve just had an squint surgery operation and some skin is coming of my eye or something?

i had a squint surgery about a week ago and up till today my eye was ok but at about 2pm a bit of my eye started going red. The whole left part is now red.(Only the white part) It looks like some extra sort of skin? Is this normal?
